Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a tech event organized every year by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). CES lets the consumers have a glimpse of the newly arriving gadgets and devices with the latest innovations for over the next 12 months.
Las Vegas has been decided to be the organizing host for the CES 2022. It’s going to be a hybrid event, that includes both real and virtual presence. It seems to be like a hotbed of many futuristic technologies and gadgets. Everyone including the eager fans and the excited consumers is not letting their eyes off from this most awaited event. However, in this unusual scenario of the Covid Pandemic, No one is certain about attending the event for sure.
This year’s focus is on futuristic technologies such as the metaverse, 5G, self-driving cars, space technology, drones, smart homes, cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, and NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). Let’s have a brief look at some of the mesmerizing techs of this event.
1. The flying car
S11, A Hydrogen fuel-powered flying car, was developed by a French-based company, Maca. The S11 can accelerate up to a peak speed of 250kmph. Many next-generation materials are used and a semi autopilot mode is also available. Maca has planned to involve in the air-taxi business in the near future.
2. Robotic cat to reduce human stress:
Amagami Ham Ham, a robotic cat is one of the coolest inventions coming out of the CES. A Tokyo-based company – Yukai Engineering has developed this masterpiece. The cat is capable to make 20 different nibbling patterns which seem to be very effective in reducing human stress.
3. Freestyle Projector:
Samsung Electronics brings us an amazing device – The Freestyle Projector in this CES 2022. It can rotate up to 180 degrees which turns anything into an FHD display, including the floor, ceiling, and walls. It consists of a 5-watt woofer that gives a clear and soothing audio experience. Whether you’re studying under the luminance of night stars or in your drawing room, this projector’s high-contrast visuals give you a mesmerizing experience.
4. Self-driving Tractors:
Being a farmer, if you want to scale up your production then here is a way to turn your dream into reality. John Deere has developed a self-driven tractor, that comes with six pairs of stereo cameras with a wide view of 360-degree obstacle detection, and a deep neural network to ensure precise movements. You can also control its speed and moving direction easily with your smartphone.
5. Upcoming devices to experience Metaverse:
Shiftall has introduced MeganeX, an extremely lightweight VR headset that is compatible with SteamVR. It prevents headset fatigue, a common issue faced by VR users after long-term usage. It comes with a head-mounted display and a foldable frame. MeganeX’s 1.3-inch OLED microdisplay provides a high 5.2k resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Shiftall has also introduced HaritoraX, a full-body motion-tracking system. This device allows its users to completely control their avatar’s body in VR.
6. The ZenBook 17-Fold OLED:
The ZenBook 17-Fold OLED is an example of futuristic technologies that comes with a foldable and portable OLED display of 12.3-inch. A 12th Gen Intel Core i7 U-Series processor makes the Zenbook so powerful. ZenBook has a RAM of 16GB and 1TB of ROM. The ScreenXpert 2 software makes the zenbook screen split and folds very smoothly. Though the battery life of ZenBook has not been revealed, it’s more likely to have a 75-watt-hour battery inside. In the 2nd quarter of 2022, the ZenBook is expected to be available in the market with pricing details.
7. Extended reality in medical science:
Extended reality (XR) is a term used solely to represent virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) altogether. These involve lots of lenses or headsets that change our perception to visualize the world. These manage to do so by either placing us in the virtual environments (VR) or overlaying virtual elements on real-time images in the present (AR/MR). VR helps doctors to get acquainted with the process of surgeries without putting men at risk. VR is also used as a therapy to treat children with autism in social and coping skills.
8. BMW’s color-changing car:
BMW managed to develop a futuristic car that is able to change its color just like a chameleon. This new car will also use the same technology that is used in the previous BMW-iX Flow. Apart from this color-changing tech, the car will have a “Theatre Screen”. The interior of the car’s roof will be fitted with a gigantic 31-inch 32:9 panorama display, giving the back seats a feel of a “private cinema lounge”. The screen will use Amazon’s Fire OS and will have access to the latest video streaming platforms and Fire TVs.
9. The Razer Enki Pro HyperSense:
The Razer Enki Pro HyperSense, an advanced gaming chair represents futuristic technologies that come with a powerful haptic engine, promises to give an immersive gaming experience. The advanced haptic engine simulates a range of vibrations, motions, and textures. It also has a customizable RGB headrest just like a typical Razer product does have. It lets us dive into the virtual world that feels so closer to realism.
10. Is this the future of sleep?
Sleep Number, a leader in sleep health and innovation, invented a NEW 360-degree smart bed that features highly exceptional sleep with the help of many beneficiary tools that proactively cares for sleepers. For an instance, the bed can sense snoring and smartly adjust its posture to open the sleepers’ airway for easier breathing without disturbing the sleep. The bed can also tilt to a gentle slope position that helps in maintaining a proper spinal alignment. The entire bed can easily be lowered or raised in order to help pregnant women get out of bed with great ease.
